Reiki

Reiki (pronounced "ray-key"), is an ancient Japanese word that means spiritually guided energy. Practitioners act as channels for energy which they perceive as color, heat, sound, or empathically as a physical sensation. Using a light touch on the body, or in the auric field of the client, congestion is dissolved and energy is stimulated to flow freely thus allowing the client's own healing abilities to bring them back into harmony.

The Reiki practitioners at our clinic are from several lineages of energy healing. Some use the more traditional approach of Mrs. Takata who introduced Reiki to the United States in the 1950's. Several of our therapists are of the Earth Sky Energy Medicine lineage founded by Ron Gregory. All of us ultimately trace our apostolic succession back to Dr. Usui of Japan who taught hundreds of people in the first years of the 20th century. These teachings have evolved intuitively with each practitioner and thus different lineages have developed, but the unifying factor in working as a team is the channeling of universal spiritually guided energy.
