Sound Therapy
What will a sound therapy session do?
  • Create a balance movement of expansion and contraction, a standing wave throughout the body.
  • Promote deep relaxation.
  • Enable the body to regenerate.
  • Balance and align the energy system.
  • Reduce stress.
  • Give you a new experience. Change your pattern.
A certain piece of music, the ring of a bell, the chanting of OM, can make us feel at peace, happy. Sound promotes healing in the body by sympathetic resonance. If we strike a note on a piano, the corresponding string on a violin will vibrate. Similarly, a tone heard in the ear will cause the organ or part of the body that is on the same frequency to resonate.

There is no sound without vibration. All things vibrate, from the smallest particle to our planet itself. When sound enters at the ears, it is conducted throughout the body by the connective tissue. This living matrix has regions that have a crystalline structure, like the crystal in a radio. They emit and respond to very specific frequencies. The sound travels almost immediately, all the way to the DNA in the cells.

The Spiral of 5ths system, developed by Arden Wilken, uses tuning forks that emit a precise single frequency, or note, free of harmonics. Normal sounds may seem to be of one note, but beneath that dominant note are many harmonics or overtones of different frequencies and volumes. Our tuning forks are precisely calibrated in Hertz (cycles per second) to the second decimal place (.00). Pairs of tuning forks have an exact interval of 1.5:1, a pure 5th. The starting point of the series is based on the Schumann Earth Cavity Resonance of 7.865 Hz.

The sound is always applied at the ears. The forks are always used in pairs. The two tone or notes combine to produce a perfect sine wave. If viewed on an oscilloscope, it appears like the infinity symbol, , like limitless movement.
